The Eastern Synod Council is currently seeking applications for two key leadership positions that will become available in mid-2024: secretary and treasurer. Working in partnership with the bishop and vice-chair, the secretary and treasurer serve as officers of the Eastern Synod and the Synod Council. Both of these positions are available to rostered ministers and lay people, and are for a six year term, beginning June 2024 and ending in June 2030. The two successful applicants will have an opportunity to ‘job shadow’ until June 2024.

Applications will be held in confidence for review and follow up by the synod council’s Personnel Committee. The committee will make nominee recommendations to Synod council. Both roles are by nomination of the Synod Council and will be recommended for election at the synod assembly in June 2024.
