In his letter to Eastern Synod congregations and partners dated June 8, Bishop Michael committed to providing a number of resources to aid congregations in the necessary preparations for the resumption of in-person worship.

Today, we are absolutely delighted to share the second resource in this series.

This resource offers a comprehensive checklist to gauge a congregation’s readiness to move from the RED to the AMBER phase of our three stage approach to resumption. Contained within the checklist document, you will also find a number of reflection questions, links to additional support resources, as well as a Covenant for the Safe Resumption of In-Person Worship.

Summer Sermon Series

ELCIC Synod Bishops and Assistants to the Bishops have committed to preparing sermons for congregational use through the summer: June 14 to September 13. The sermons will be provided in both PDF and video format. Details on how to access the sermons will be shared shortly!

ONTARIO BALING DAYS 2020

On April 6 – 7 you’re invited to join us in Wallenstein for We Care Baling Days

Baling Days is a highlight of the We Care calendar, and we are pleased to extend an invitation to everyone in Ontario who would like to get involved. Baling Days is a great opportunity for fellowship, to learn more about the work of Canadian Lutheran World Relief, and to support people in need around the world.

This year’s shipment will go to the Lutheran World Federation in Mauritania, where it will support refugees who have fled violent conflict in Mali. Our We Care supplies bring support to the most vulnerable people in the refugee camp, including children, young mothers and the elderly.

Please help us spread the word about this annual event by printing our Baling Days Poster and putting it up on your church bulletin board.
