The ELCIC national and synodical treasurers have prepared another update that includes details about the federal government’s Hardest Hit Business Recovery Program for which some congregations may qualify, information pertaining to the preparation of 2021 T4s and a reminder about the importance of notifying ELCIC Group Services Inc when salary changes occur for plan members.

This communication from the ELCIC national and synodical treasurers includes information that will be of interest to your congregation about subsidies that were included in the 2021 federal budget that was announced in April and passed into law in late June. These include an extension to the existing Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) and a new subsidy, the Canada Recovery Hiring program (CRHP).
