The Albert Location: Background
For over a decade, the Glebe location at 177 Albert Street has been more than a building. It has been a place of welcoming, care, learning, and community.
On April 30 @ 2PM, we invite our community to gather with us to honour the history of this house, walk through its rooms one last time, and mark an important transition as the DGCC looks to the future.
The Albert Street location has been home to countless moments of connection, supportive conversations, shared meals, hard work, laughter, and care offered when it mattered most. This house witnessed years of dynamic community life at the Glebe. While our programs and people have evolved, the spirit of the house has remained constant: open doors, hospitality, dignity, and belonging.
As we prepare to close this chapter, we want to pause and honour everything this place has held. Please note: this does NOT mean an end to the DGCC; we will be operating at our 470 Weber Street location, continuing this vital work, and much more.
