The Eastern Synod extends an invitation to all who are interested in dreaming together about the future of our churches in the Grand River and Two Rivers Ministry Areas in the Waterloo and Wellington Regions.

You are invited to the Service of Installation for Bishop-elect Larry Kochendorfer on Saturday, September 27 at Faith Lutheran Church in Winnipeg. 

This celebration will bring together both rostered and lay people, and will also be available via livestream at elcic.ca. For those that are able, you are invited to attend in person. For those unable to be with us, you are invited to gather in your homes, congregations and communities to view the livestream (and we encourage you to share a photo of your gathering with us at info@elcic.ca and on social using #myelcic).

The offering for the day is designated to the ELCJHL Appeal and CLWR’s Friends of Creation.

Greetings from Camp Lutherlyn!  We would like to invite you (and others) to join us for a 60th Anniversary Celebration for Camp Lutherlyn. This year, we are honoured to welcome Rev. Dr. Kristine Lund as our keynote speaker. Dr. Lund is the founder of the Delton Glebe Counselling Centre and former Clinical Director, Dean of Martin Luther University College, professor in the Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy program, and the Albert J. Datars Chair. She will be retiring from her many roles in April 2026.

Dr. Lund will share reflections on her journey to Luther, the vision that led to the creation of the Glebe, and her transition toward retirement — along with the legacy she leaves as we continue to advance our mission and vision.

Your attendance at this event directly supports the Glebe’s We Care Fund, which provides free or low-cost counselling to individuals who might otherwise be unable to access support. Every ticket purchased, every auction bid, and every gift helps ensure that compassionate, accessible care remains available to all who need it. This year our goal is to raise $10,000 from the event.

Through our We Care Initiative, we provide subsidized counselling for individuals, couples, and families, offering an average of $6,000 in support each year. This vital assistance is made possible by the generosity of our auction supporters.

Watch our website for the bidding launch — and remember, every dollar raised goes directly to the We Care Fund, helping ensure counselling remains accessible to those who need it most.
