A Congregation and a Building – 1880-2025
On August 31, 1879, the Rev. J. Lautenschlager of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brant Twp, conducted the first Lutheran Service in Walkerton. The formal organization of the congregation took place on Sunday, January 18, 1880.
Prior to 1880, Lutherans in Walkerton and district were members of either St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brant Twp., organized in 1877, or St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Carrick Twp., organized in 1862.

Worship Sunday, May 4th, 2025 at 3:00pm
(Please note no Sunday morning worship.)
Our Guest will be The Rev. Heather Spencer-Stoltz, Dean of the Georgian Bay Ministry Area
Offering for the celebration is designated as follows:
½ to Walkerton and District Food Bank and
½ to Saugeen Hospice
Followed by a catered dinner at 5:30pm at the Walkerton Legion. Buffet Dinner with all the trimmings
