Q: How is the work of Congregational Redevelopment Services funded?
A: The Congregational Redevelopment Services Committee recommends an annual budget for congregation redevelopment services to the Eastern Synod Council that is ultimately approved by rostered and lay delegates to the Eastern Synod’s triennial Assembly.
This budget line is funded from investment income earned from three generous bequests that were bequeathed to the Synod several decades ago to help strengthen congregational mission and outreach ministries.
