Leupold Chorale to Host an Epiphany Service of Lessons and Carols

The LEUPOLD CHORALE will host a Service of Lessons and Carols to celebrate the Twelve Days of Christmas and the Festival of the Epiphany of our Lord.

Sunday January 6th, 2013
7:30 pm
Keffer Memorial Chapel of Waterloo Lutheran Seminary

The event will include the Epiphany traditions of the "Chalking of the Door", and chanting of the Epiphany Proclamation for 2013. Please join us to observe this festival, to hear the Scriptures of the season, to sing festive hymns and carols, and to enjoy the music of the Leupold Chorale. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the event.

The Leupold Chorale, directed by Don Nevile, was formed in 2009 and is presently an active and thriving choir of some 24 persons who meet on alternate Sunday evenings in the Keffer Chapel of Waterloo Lutheran Seminary to sing and make music together.

Honouring the life and ministry of Ulrich Leupold, pastor, scholar, teacher, theologian, and musician, the Leupold Chorale strives to foster and preserve the performance of the early music of the Lutheran Church and the continental Reformation, the early music of other Christian traditions, and other sacred music of the Church which is rarely performed today.
