Vocational Conversations with Rev Dr Tim Elliott

A one hour confidential conversation to talk about where you are in your ministry.  A safe place to think out loud.

On Wednesday April 25th, ministry development consultant The Rev. Dr. Tim Elliott will be available for one hour vocational conversations with any of our rostered ministers or lay staff. He will be working out of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Kitchener.

Here are some things you might wish to have a conversation about:

-- clarity, thoughts and feelings about your current situation
-- discover a fresh perspective on a chronic problem
-- think out loud about whether it's time to make a move to a new ministry
-- dealing with a difficult person or situation
-- wondering why I'm bored, distracted, or not happy.

This program is a pro-active approach to keeping small problems or frustrations from becoming chronic or discouraging while recognizing the daily challenges all clergy face. It offers support and encouragement in finding insight and solutions in a comfortable and accessible way.

Each session is one hour in length. There is no report to the church judicatory but it provides a helpful and confidential time for vocational reflection, a sounding board, and a conversation with a peer.  Each session is $100 plus GST billable to the individual and constitutes a legitimate use of continuing education funds.

Tim works on a 'first come, first served’ basis. If there are more requests than he can accommodate,  he will schedule another day.
