Join our friends at Lutherans Connect for a Pentecost Prayer Vigil on Facebook.

Pentecost is a Christian feast with deep roots in the Jewish tradition. Most people know that it is a day in which we celebrate the church, but some people may not understand just how or why.
In the spirit of our 24 Hour Prayer – Pentecost! prayer vigil in 2011, and our other Lenten and Advent devotionals, Lutherans Connect invites you to join us for a few minutes (or more if life allows), during our continuous 24 hour prayer watch/mini-devotional to welcome Pentecost.
To assist you, each hour from 7:00 am Saturday May 26 to 7:00 am Sunday May 27, EST, Lutherans Connect will post one of either a reflection, an image, a musical selection, a video or an art work that adds a piece of understanding to this most ancient of days. (Note that unlike the Lenten and Advent devotions, there will be only one element in each post — that is why we are calling it the mini-devotions!) Each new offering will be posted on Facebook on the turn of the hour.
Set aside some time during those 24 hours to come closer to the Spirit, and find out more about where it all comes from.
Blessed Pentecost! -Lutherans Connect
