First Baptist church, Brantford, is holding a Forum for Dialogue on May 17, 2017 at 7pm.
Chief Ava Hill of the Elected Council of the Six Nations of the Grand River will be guest speaker that evening. Her topic will be “Truth: The Road to Reconciliation” and will include information about residential schools and the National inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers following Chief Hill’s presentation.
Chief Hill has served on the elected Six Nations Council for many years, as well as being active on international platforms, attending the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. She has worked with many First Nations and Aboriginal organizations in Canada, including the Assembly of First Nations and the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples.
